18Feb Do you work as a scheduler in a corporate flight department?
Jennifer T asked:
If you work in a corporate flight department as a scheduler, without a dispatch license, I am intereted in your hourly pay rate and where you are located. I’m trying to fet a feel for the rate of pay for that position in different locations around the U.S.

No I do not. But I hired one in Oklahoma once. We paid her a base salary of $38,000/year with 10% annual bonus potential. She was responsible for 12 Sabre jets scheduling. We did almost everything by e-mail and it worked great.

Depending on the size of your operation, you might invest in the NBAA. Every year they put together a survey that all their member flight departments participate in fairly completely. It’s not available for non-members.
Otherwise, I suppose this is a good place to start. I work for a large fractional and if you drop me an e-mail I’d be happy to tell you more about what our schedulers do and how much they get paid. Which brings me to a final thought, you might want to find out what the responsibilities are for the people who respond. Ours are different than smaller departments where one person has more responsibility.
Anyway, feel free to contact me through my profile.
