31Jan How do you become a corporate associate attorney?
Babar R asked:
Also is it possible for corporate associates to elevate to partnerships?
Do these same law firm principles apply to this(associate to parner)?

the title of “partner” doesn’t refer to a place in the picking order but to the ownership of the company. A partnership (or a LLC which is also a partnership) has partners, a company has shareholders.
Unless the corporation is a partnership, there is no legal way to nominate partners. However this should not be a concern, a corporate attorney can have a lot of responsibility and be very well paid.
An associate refers to someone who is associated, this can be done with a partnership or a company. An associate is legally self-employed (so not an employee) and not a partner.
You get the job by applying (like any other job), it might help to know a lot about corporate law.
