If you are a business owner, you know for a fact that your logo is an important marketing tool. It appears almost everywhere - on your corporate website, on business cards, on invoices, and even on stationery. So if you have a logo that is able to communicate important messages about you, your company or the products or services that you offer, you know that you have gotten it right.

Unfortunately, this sounds simple in theory. In the real world, not every business owner get this. Take a look around you. You will be able to find all sorts of logos that don’t serve any purpose. Some logos look weird, but that’s alright because people often remember the odd looking logos. The problem is, they just don’t make any sense.

Others make an effort to communicate some messages, but they try too hard. As a result, the logos appear too complicated. Nobody ever pays any attention to complicated logos. Who has the time anyway?

So if you are looking for a new logo, you want to avoid designing logos like those mentioned above. A logo is meant to be simple, and communicates at most one to two important messages.
